Refinish 2 1/4" red and white oak hardwood Floors, Hopkinton MA 2016
These pictures speak for themselves. Most people would have written these floors off. Surprisingly they sanded very well and they came out beautiful, better than any of us expected. Bob and his wife are old customers of mine. He was one of my 1st customers when I started my own business back in 1997. I hadn't
seen he or his wife in many years. It was so good to work for him again and they were very pleased with the work. I put up a testimonial from him.
Installation of 3 1/4" prefinished red oak hardwood flooring Westford, Ma 2014 and 2015
We were contracted to replace the floors in the parish hall. We removed all the substrates down to the original sub floor. We did quite a bit of leveling and repair work especially by the kitchen doors and both closets. We also installed all new base boards and quarter round moldings. The flooring is 3 1/4" Somerset red oak natural. There are quite a few pictures. The original job was done the summer of 2014 then in 2015 they had ice dam problems and we had to replace about 25 percent of the floor.

This rip out and re-install of new 2 1/4" select and better white oak hardwood flooring was due to previous tenants animals urinating on the floors. The owner wanted it out and that we did. The Floors are finished with three coats of oil base polyurethane with semi gloss for the last coat.
Refinish 2 1/4" white oak hardwood flooring Wellesley 2015
The house was built in the 1920's. The floors here, on the third floor of the house are original, they were hand scraped and finished. There were not a lot of floor company's using electric floor sanders then so hand scraping was still being used to remove the mill marks and ease the edges of the boards after installation. Ron and I sanded the 2 1/4" white oak, stained them with a provincial oil base stain and finished them with three coats of oil base polyurethane using satin for the last coat.

Family room - Remove rugs, renail subfloors, install 3 1/4" white oak hardwood flooring.
Finish with four coats of oil base polyurethane with semi gloss as the last coat. The pictures don't do the work justice. I'm not a photographer. We had to raise the frame around the hearth about a 1/4 " so it would like right because of the height of the marble.

Sand Mahogany decking and apply two coats of Waterlox Tung oil finish. 1st coat Waterlox sealer and the second coat Waterlox Marine finish. Not bad two coats.
Sand and refinish and stain red oak stair treads Holliston 2012
Sand red oak stair treads, filling all nail holes. Stain with one coat of Bona Kemi oil base stain (Mix 3 part Cherry 1 part Sp. Walnut). Finish with three coats of oil base polyurethane. (Semi gloss last coat) This job the homeowner attempted to do the work himself. It wasn't coming out the way he wanted it, so he called me. We had to match the pre - existing prefinish Bruce oak flooring. It was a bottom double open stair case. The dust containment was challenging but as you can see the Zip wall Jack system is quite versatile.
